About Sam Parekh is from India. He has lived & worked in multiple markets- Los Angeles, London, Mumbai & New York. His schooling was at The Mayo College, a renowned boarding school, in Rajasthan. Traveling from a very early age, he spent most of his vacations visiting his parents in Africa & South East Asia. His dad’s gift of a Kodak Box Camera is all that it took to become the self-appointed family photographer. He earned a degree in Commerce from Bombay University & continued taking pictures through college. He pursued photography with a degree from the Brooks Institute of Photography, in Santa Barbara. After Brooks, he honed his craft assisting photographers like Joe Carlson, Alan Kaplan, Bob Stevens & Graham Westmoreland. He started his career in London, shooting editorials and ad campaigns for clients like Toyota Yaris, Boots, The Telegraph Magazine, Elle & Marie Claire, to name a few. He travels frequently between the US & India on assignments, while continuously pursuing personal projects that have won him multiple awards from APA and PDN. Currently, he is in India.
